Privacy

Short version. Updated October 25, 2026.

Follow The Filings is a public research site for SEC Form 13F data at followthefilings.com. We collect as little as we can.

If you just browse

Public pages work without an account and set no cookies of ours. Your light or dark choice stays in your browser. Servers keep ordinary request logs (path, time, IP, user agent) for uptime and abuse.

How we count visits

We count visits without cookies or ad trackers, two ways: Cloudflare Web Analytics, and our own daily totals of pages viewed, the kind of site that sent you (a search engine, X, direct), and a few actions such as a download. Those totals keep no IP address and no visitor ID. Google Search Console shows us which Google searches led here; that is Google’s data, not tracking by us.

Member photos

Photos of members of Congress load from the public congress-legislators project on GitHub (unitedstates.github.io), so GitHub sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.

If you create an account

We store your email, a hashed password, and whatever you choose to follow (managers, names, alert prefs). We use that to sign you in, send account mail (confirm / reset), and optional product alerts you turn on. Passwords are never stored in plain text. When you sign in we record the time and IP address of your latest two sign-ins, to spot misuse of your account.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t use it for third-party ads. We don’t offer investment advice.

Who helps run this

Hosting, database, and email providers process data only to run the site for us. 13F content comes from public SEC EDGAR filings.

Your choices

You can change alert settings in the product when signed in. To delete your account, sign in, select your email in the side menu and choose Delete my account. That removes your email, password, sign-in history and everything you follow right away.

Kids

Not aimed at children under 13. Don’t register if you’re under 13.

Changes

If this page changes, we update the date above. Questions: same contact as account email.
