Follow-The-Filings (“we”, “us”) provides public SEC Form 13F research tools at followthefilings.com. This policy describes what we collect and why. It is a starter policy for product launch—not formal legal advice. We may update it as features change.

Information we collect

• Account data (when you register): email address and a hashed password. We do not store plaintext passwords.
• Product data you choose: tickers, CUSIPs, and managers you follow, plus alert preferences if you enable email alerts.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, paths, timestamps) and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics (e.g. Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not rely on advertising cookies.
• Email delivery metadata: when we send confirmation, password-reset, or alert messages via our email provider.

How we use information

• Operate the site and authenticate your account
• Send essential account email (confirm address, reset password)
• Deliver optional product alerts you enable
• Maintain security, debug issues, and improve reliability

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not provide investment advice. Public 13F data is as-filed with the SEC and may be delayed or incomplete.
• Anonymous browsing of public pages does not require an account.

Cookies & sessions

Signed-in users receive a session cookie so the site knows you are logged in. Anonymous public page views are designed to avoid session cookies so shared caches stay efficient. See also our analytics setup (cookieless where configured).

Retention & deletion

Account and portfolio data is retained while your account is active. Contact us at the email below to request account deletion; we will remove or anonymize personal data except where we must keep records for security or legal reasons.

Third parties

Infrastructure and mail may be provided by processors such as our host (e.g. Railway), database provider, email delivery (e.g. Resend), and SEC EDGAR (public data source). Those providers process data only to deliver their services to us.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.
